icon  The Maekong Thai Restaurant

As recommended by Bromsgrove-based travel writer Nigel Roberts in Bradt's recently published anthology Bus-Pass Britain Rides Again - "Bromsgrove is roughly the halfway point on your journey and if you are ready for lunch, alight at the bus station and head to the right, along the pedestrianised high street, to the Maekong Thai restaurant. I reckon it's the best food in town." © Nigel Roberts 2013.

The 'Maekong Thai' is a family owned restaurant that opened in October 2002.

The restaurant is decorated in a modern comfortable style and offers a relaxing atmosphere where we invite you to sample the delights of Thai cuisine.

We are fully licensed and stock a large selection of beers, spirits and wines as well as fruit juices and soft drinks.

We are situated in the southern part of icon Bromsgrove town centre on the one-way section of Worcester Road. There is a limited amount of free parking available in front of the restaurant from 6pm to 11pm (Please note that from 11pm this parking area is designated as a taxi rank and cars left there after 11pm may be ticketed), alternatively we are less than a minutes walk from a large public car park accesible from Hanover St and St John's Street which now offers free parking after 7pm.
